The cutest little fire-baby right? I love being able to incorporate parents hobbies/jobs/interests into their newborns session to make them a touch more sentimental. We aren't all overly-proppy here at our studio, and thats for a reason. Scroll around our page and portfolio and get to know our style. Its simple for a reason, its about YOUR BABY. Its not about a giant tutu or humongous headbands for girls or tons of outfits for your boys. Nah, its about them. Their tiny little hands and toes, and the minimal strands of baby hair they have. Their tiny little lash lines and adorable little faces they make. They dont need all the other nonsense because they're perfect. Also, those things tend to date the sessions. Id be willing to bet you can tell the difference on Pinterest between a session shot in the early 2000's and now. The seem to be cleaner now and less gaudy, amennnnn to that. I think the whole reason for a newborn session is to be able to look back on these images in 5, 10, 20,50 + years and not say "omg whats with that hat or bow ( fill in the blank)"..... We look back and true vintage photos and none of that stands out to us. If anything we can appreciate the style of dress from decades ago ( mayyyybe not so much the 80's and 90's lol) . This is also a huge reason we suggest parents to keep their wardrobe choices simple for their newborn/family portion of the session. First of all, everyone is looking at your tiny baby anyways. Second of all, no one expects mom to hop into a form fitted gown weeks post partum. Third of all, we only photograph from the waist up anyways so theres no need to bring the heels lol. Fourth of all- busy outfits just detract from the moment and the emotion of the images captured between you and your newborn. So plain colored T's are just fine here and forever more :) Hop in the darn photos with your baby and you'll be forever grateful for it!
