what a blessing

These photos, as I look at them over and over again, thats the word that comes to mind on repeat. Blessing. Most of us aren't this lucky. Most of us were never able to be a part of a four generation photo session, and have actual physical evidence of it, like them. What a blessing.

It was just as much a blessing to me it seems as it was to them. I mean, I'm thrilled to have been asked to capture these four vibrant women in different stages of their awesome lives. To be able to see the matriarch of the entire gang proud of her creations. As our generation calls it- our "mini- me's". These other three are her legacy, a part of her. What. a. blessing. Though the matriarch of the family here knows that it's the tiniest member of the family who really runs the show, as it should be I suppose. Four generations of fabulous women, captured together, forever. That's powerful right? I'm so glad they chose me, and that they chose to do this session for themselves. Because the thought of not having these pictures breaks my heart. The little one may always remember this session, or likely not, BUT she'll have the images in print to refer to whenever she wants. The thought of being able to have a picture of me as a little girl with my mom, grandma, and great Grandma brings tears to my eyes. I think of my own grandma and look at my kids and think of how proud she would be of them. How quick time passes. How precious our time actually is.

So, these photos are a blessing. I imagine some of these images being played on a slideshow at Miss B's wedding someday. Or as she ages and wants to compare genetics and facial features of herself, compared to her mom, compared to her grandma, and great grandma. Their legacy is pretty amazing if you ask me. Vibrant. Full of life. Full of joy and wonder. They're all fabulous and outgoing women ( and girl) that people take note of in a room.

I'm thrilled to pieces and anxiously awaiting all of the amazing prints and wall art trickling in from this session and I cant wait to come back and share it here.

What a blessing.
