elliot

This mini session was ever-so-perfect for a couple of boys here. Elliot decided to make his appearance a bit early in life so spent the beginning weeks in the NICU, charming the nurses Im sure. So by the time he made his way to the studio he was bit older than most of the newborns we work with and it was perfect to do a wrapped mini. It can be a bit *extra* tricky when working with babies that are older than a few weeks old as they're not as easy to get to sleep, nor stay asleep, nor touch and pose while sleeping, so in those cases a wrapped newborn session can work quite nice! As you see above. This sweet little guy was certainly full of personality and was definitely a bit touchy. He enjoyed his pacifier and I can assure you that all of this images were 2-seconds-post-plucking of said pacifier lol.

Umm, can we talk about his older brother as well for a second? Good gravy he was so so so good! What a difference it makes working with a 6.9 year old versus working with a toddler sibling. Big brother was highly attentive and so intrigued by his newest family member. He watched us as we wrapped and photographed his little baby and couldn't wait for his debut to partake in the photos. He sat so calmly and even chatted with us in a low calm voice ( it was amazing!!). If only all siblings liked their new baby, and photos lol. Id be willing to bet he may even help with a diaper change or two in his future, and surely has a lot of mentoring ahead as he fills the role of the big bro. IF I had to choose, I think that backlit photo of big brother holding his little baby on his legs is my absolute fave from the session ( I mean, zoom in, you can see the tiny little smirk he has on his face and it really shows the difference in their sizes and profile similarities too!).

We cant wait for more "old newborns" and "old siblings", so if you fit in that category and are feeling like you missed your opportunity for newborn photos just reach out to us today and see if we can fit you in!
