While its true that we've got many many mannnnnny more sessions to blog from 2021 I wanted to skip ahead and hopefully start off 2022 with a more consistent blogging history of documenting and sharing all of our current sessions ( ahhh wish me luck on keeping up with this trend!!).
Silas here is pretty special as he is born into a family that we've been working with for awhile now! He has a big brother who is equally as photogenic and sweet as he is that we've been photographing since his newborn session and beyond. We've been fortunate enough to watch him grow the last couple of years and now become a big brother, which is something that truly means so much to us. Its amazing to walk our clients out at the end of the session and wonder what their baby will come back looking like ( and acting like) the next time we see them. Its my absolute favorite when we get to meet a couple while still in their pregnancy and watch them evolve into new parents and then into parents of several kiddos. It's awesome. So if you're pregnant and not-so-sure on booking a maternity session for the world to see, just consider it as an excuse to meet the team you're hiring to work with your newborn in advance. Meet us and get to know us and rest assured we will do great work for your upcoming baby when they arrive hearthside. Its so much more relaxed for all of us when that time does come if you've already stepped foot into the studio, and shook our hands, gotten to see how we work together effortlessly and, ya know, how funny and easy we are to be around ( ha yup, tooting our horns here lol). We enjoy what we do photographing pregnant mommas, newborns, couples, parents, families, all the way to seniors in high school and beyond ( we are *nottttt* wedding photographers though nor will we ever be, we can surely recommend some though :))

While we've been known to 'force" a mom or two into photos we haver quickly come to realize how important it is for people to be IN the photos with their newest addition. Let us capture it, and you all together. You may not be feeling photo-ready after giving birth, we strongly suggest just giving it a whirl. When you choose to work with us we always ask our clients to trust us a bit. Another bonus of working with us is that you're shown all the proofs from the session. Meaning you get to see all the images from the session that we in-focus for you to select from. The draw to this.... if you hate the images of you with your babe, no worries, they're trashed. Though we haven't run into such a situation.
So throw on a black shirt, or something simple and timeless and let us give you directions and make it easy and be IN the pictures with your baby. Something you'll always be able to look back on. Something they can show their kids someday. Your first family heirloom.
