Arya's newborn photo session
We loved getting to meet this couple a few months back, when momma was still pregnant. We got to meet for a maternity session and briefly get to know them and vice versa. We were able to capture some sweet shots in nature as well as some building-scape backdrops in WNY. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... its so awesome to be able to build a level of comfort between ourselves and our clients/parents prior to them having their newborn baby come to our studio space. Its nice for them to grow their trust in us and our process and how everything works with us, and knowing that we are all about taking care of them. So many times after parents get to meet us for the maternity session they show up to the studio with their new babe and just sit back and relax and let us do our thing. They're calm, we're calm and it just makes for an awesome time together for three hours.
Mom here requested purples and maroon colors in the session and I was so thrilled to make those colors come to life for her. Since then she's gotten a STUNNING metal print of their baby delivered from our pro lab that will last so many years to come! I know that sometimes parents have some reservations on leaving the house with a newborn, getting ready to be in photos, going to a studio with a newborn. We know, we get it! Its a challenge, y'all are tired and it may almost seem like a chore to get up and go do it. Buts its a guarantee that no one ever regrets doing it. And your time spent in the studio is designed to be as laid back as possible. Heck, most parents nod off, or full-on-snore on our cozy couch in the studio lounge attached to the shooting space. Parents are welcome to sit at binge watch shows, or watch us pose and change and sooth their baby, or nap. Blow out diaper? No problem, we take care of it all! We really just ask parents to come with a stocked diaper bag and baby in something easily removed like zippered sleepers and thats about it. We dont have a ten page prep guide for getting ready for your session, because, WHY?!?! We have tons of tips and tricks up our sleeve to keep your baby content while we pose them on the posing platform as well as in the wrapped prop shots etc. Myself and my assistant have children ourselves and years of experience working with babies this capacity so it really sets parents minds at ease with us. We cannot wait to meet all the babies that 2021 has in store for us.
