timeless and grey
I adore this session and moms request to keep things timeless and baby-focused. What more is needed anyways? and I love our studio outfits they selected for little Miss Rowan. I mean, big brother couldn't resist but helping clean up his sister after her messy cake smash time with us! And seeing them two splash together and watching their little personalities made my heart melt. Oh and the photo of them snuggling, I cannot take the cuteness!!!! We really love seeing how different all the babies are on our sets for their one year/cake smash milestone! Each and every one of them are so different and its absolutely amazing to see. We can always tell which kids are the wild and adventurous ones at home by them digging right into their cake and smearing it everywhere. While we know the other ones who don't even want frosting on their littles finger are the ones that like structure. Ha ha, I'm kind of kidding, because we always joke that its a lot like the football saying "any given Sunday".... Meaning babies that love eating at home, dont always love cake, or the ones that are the most reserved at home can sometimes come to life on set in front of our camera. You just never know, we just always take our time with them and try making the experience great for everyone involved.
We love making it easy on the parents, they show up with a baby and a diaper bag and thats about it. We have a ton of outfits that fit this age (. yes for boys too!!!) and we discuss a set theme ahead of time with parents and do all that work too. While the fabulous Rolling Pin custom cake shop designs and delivers all of our custom cakes that fit the theme to a T. Now we just have to figure out when the best time of day is for your little one, whether they're down to one nap a day by then or two and the rest is left on us.
