Let us help capture your little one turning one. What a huge, and often emotional milestone for all of you! Im sure as your taking those monthly snapshots of you're growing babe that you can barely even fathom the fact that O-N-E is FAST approaching. Its insane, how does the time go so fast? I feel like all parents have a whirlwind of emotions at this age. Part of them is like " yessss, we survived the first year, the sleepless nights, the sleepless days, the vaccinations, the beginning of teething, the firsts of so.many.things".... This is also the time the parents are like "hey, maybe we CAN do this again" ( this is our favorite thought lol). Is so fun for us to get to meet parents when they first become parents and then check in with them months later and witness how they've all changed. I love seeing everyones take on parenting!
Anywho, our cake smash sessions in our studio are very well planned out (oh, yes, with lots of backup and backup to backup plans depending on each baby and their personality in the moment). We've got the set fully prepared for the cake smash at your arrival, the cake is even delivered by the fabulous Jessica D at The Rolling Pin Custom Cake shop ( she and I collaborate weeks prior to the session and discuss the theme so the set and the cake can perfectly coordinate, and of course her creations are delicious and the remaining bit of cake is sent home with the parents- BONUS). We also have plenty of outfits from our studio wardrobe laid out for you to select from, no need to get cake on your own kids clothes! Our ideal cake smash includes the cake smash set, then photos of the tub-time cleanup, then another backdrop or two with minimal props so we can focus our full and complete attention on your baby, and the photographs reflect them as well.
Really all of our sessions are geared towards being full service and taking the brunt of the planning off the parents shoulders. Just come and let us do the prep, and the cleanup and you enjoy the session.
Ps- we always encourage parents to consider adding on some family images, short and sweet and look how gorgeous and easy these are above! I am constantly emphasizing the importance of US in our images with our kids. They're going to want to look back and see these in a few short years from now all the way up to decades from now. This is your family tree so be present.
