baby Lucas

This sweet guy came into the studio when he was about month old and still tiny. He was one of those babies born in the few days leading up to the Buffalo Christmas Blizzard. They were able to get home amidst the beginning of the chaos thankfully. I still think about some of the Blizzard stories I heard and read about and it gives me chills! Lets just hope it doesn't happen again in our generation, or, well...ever!

Even though Lucas was born before Christmas, by the time we met him it was mid January so it felt weird doing Christmas theme images at that point but we needed to do something winter-y to show the season of his birth and I just love that tiny curled up "snow" image above.

Lucas was also one of those babies that brought about the topic with the parents of...."gas drops" and its crazy to us how many times WE are the first ones to chat with parents about such miracle liquid lol. ***please note*** we're FAR FROM physicians, incase you didnt know (ha!) but we often encourage that conversation to be had between parents and their pediatrician to open the door on a topic they've often never even heard of. Most of the parents thank us a million times because most babies end up responding so well to the gas drops, they're like different babies. I vividly remember using it for the first time with my son as a baby, it was INSTANT relief. We used the little dropper and then just stood there in amazement! Again, not doctors here, just moms. Y'all should speak to your doctors about it though because it's usually life altering. Amongst sound machines and car rides on the top 5 soothing list ;)
