Kristen was approx 34 weeks for her session ( we usually tell mommas that the perfect window of time for maternity session is about 30-36 weeks depending on their own body and when they feel best). We were able to provide so much classic and timeless variety into this session. All of these dresses are in our studio wardrobe, so that takes a load off the clients shoulders that they dont need to pre-plan outfits and go shopping etc. We offer such a large variety of sizes and dresses in all colors and shapes as well. Theres also something to be said about the gowns and dresses preferred for photography purposes versus the every-day dress. Many of the maternity gowns are extra long length that are so flattering and beautiful and take the imagery to the next level. We've just added several new fabric pieces that we cannot wait to shoot on expectant mommas for some fun and flowy unique shots.
Now we sit and wait for this babys arrival in a few weeks to get to photograph him! We won't share his name ahead of time, but just note, its a an awesome name and we LOVE getting to see all the name choices for babies. Any parent who has made name decisions for their children can totally appreciate how difficult it is. Oh, the times we hear arguments between parents to be over their own personal preferences. Its becoming so common that parents are keeping the name a secret until baby is born. Because who wants to hear " ohhhhhh, THATS an interesting name", or "oh gosh, I knew a kid with such-and-such name and he was awful". The rude comments are inevitable lol. Everyone has so many opinions in 2021 dont they? Maybe we should stop sharing them with everyone? Oh what a world that would be right?! lol.... This is also about the time in pregnancy that women come out of the woodworks with all the pregnancy and labor horror stories too right? Such a blessing those people are :| (not!). Oh, and allllll sorts of other unwanted advice.... "don't use the rock and play sleeper ".... "oh ignore everyone, the rock and play sleeper is a lifesaver".... " dont let your baby sleep with you, they'll become spoiled"..... "oh don't listen to those people, you cant spoil a newborn".... "make sure you read this, this and THIS book so you know what to expect".... "meh, dont read books, just wing it"......vaccinate.... dont vaccinate.... As though pregnancy itself isn't an exhausting feat, am. I. right?!
